UNapproachable Black Chicks - That video you just posted brought back some memories! I went to a private school inspired by Marva Collins, and I remember reciting the Creed. Academics were wonderful, from learning the Greek alphabet in early grades to having read Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Ayn Rand, George Orwell and Shakespeare by the time I left in sixth grade. Unfortunately discipline was virtually non-existent, and I think the school eventually had to change its name or Marva Collins was going to sue the principal.

Sounds like an excellent academic experience. I hope her model is still positively affecting students in the same way it did the original 31.
